Pinterest is my favorite platform which brings almost 90% of the traffic to my other blog. It could be your best friend to drive traffic until google starts loving your website enough to show it on the first page.

Here are a few tips to get traffic from Pinterest
1. Sign up for a Pinterest account to grow your blog traffic
Signing up for a Pinterest profile is easy. Go to Pinterest and sign up with your email. You can sign up either with your Facebook or Twitter account. You will have your profile running just by submitting your information. After signing up, you will get the confirmation email.
After you confirm your account, you are all set to start.

2. Turn it into a business account
If you want to use Pinterest for your business or blog to grow, convert your account to a business account. A business account allows using of analytics for your account. It will become easy to measure the growth of your blog. A business account gives a professional look to your page
3. Use professional photos
Use a professional photograph in your profile. Some people use their company logo which is perfectly fine. Using your own professional photo gives an indication that this account belongs to a person which is you.
People will be more interested in saving from the account which belongs to a person they can see.
4. Create at-least 10 boards related to your niche
Create at least 10 boards related to your niche. Name your boards according to keywords. For a keyword search, type a word in the search area and see what comes up. Then name according to the keywords but don’t overdo it. Also, make some other lifestyle-related boards. Like DIY and recipes boards. And relate them to your niche
For example, if you are a personal finance blogger, you can create a budget recipes board or budget dresses. There are many options.
5. Create a new board every few weeks
When you are starting out, you don’t have much content to share on Pinterest. As you start creating more content, you will need to pin more and will need more boards. Create new boards every few weeks.
6. Start creating pins
Design your beautiful vertical pins to add to your boards. Whenever you write a blog post, try to make at least three pins with different designs for your post. And add them to your boards. For creating pins use Canva. Canva is easy to work with.
When you start working on Canva, it feels overwhelming but when you get some practical experience with it, it becomes easy and you can make beautiful pins as you like. You can play with colours, fonts, sizes of the pics and many more.
There are many fonts available, stick to a few fonts to create a brand. Always use big bold fonts to make your pin text readable and stand out.
Pin size: Optimum pin size suggested by Pinterest is 600×900 pixels. Or any size in the ratio of 2:3 is fine.
7. Upload pins to relevant boards
Now that you have created pins for your post, add them to relevant boards. While uploading makes sure you write keywords rich description on your pins.
Pin to your most relevant board first. Then you can pin to your other relevant boards. Write keyword-rich descriptions and hashtags.

9. Keywords in board descriptions
Whenever we talk about Google, we get that intimidating word SEO. SEO is not only for Google, but it is also relevant for Pinterest. Keywords should be there in the board descriptions.
How to find keywords for the board as well as pin descriptions.
Type your keyword in the Pinterest search bar. It will show you some suggestions. Copy those or write down those in your notebook.
Then click on one of the suggested keywords, it will show you more keywords people are searching for.
Write down those too. You can use these keywords in your board descriptions as well as in pins related to the keyword.
Every time, you create a pin, do the same for writing keywords as well as hashtags to the pins. This will help your pins to rank higher in the search.
10. Pin at the right time
